REFLECTIONS...... Oil

Well, this is my first oil painting with some direction from Kathryn....There is soooooo much to learn...Now I know why they say you should paint "every day"....Don't really have the time to do that, but I'm trying....As you can see, there is difinately something missing in this work.. I'm afraid to work on it some more for fear of messing .... Anyone have some suggestions.????... Will work more on it and post again during the week.....Thanks for checking my blog......

Well, we painted with oil this week... Always a unique experience for me.... Tried a second painting too, but it needs some help before I have the courage to post that one.... Let me know which sunflower you prefer.... Thanks for checking by blog....

It's been a little dreary lately, so when Kathryn brought a photo of this cheery sunflower that her granddaughter grew, I thought to try my hand. This week I think we will try some oil..Maybe try this flower with a different medium as a comparison.... Thank you for checking...Hope to have something new again this week....

This is an old painting based on the artist JOHN HULSEY.. If you go to John Hulsey Gallery, you will find some awesome art work by John and his wife....Sure to entertain....Sometimes it's fun to look at old work and learn from it's good and bad points....At least it"s something different on the site.....Thanks for checking...........

WINTER PICNIC BENCH...Watercolor

Well, we finally got to paint yesterday...My first picture wasn't worthy of posting, but after Kathryn left, I decided to try a picture from an old photo...It only took me about 1/2 hour and behold, I actually like the outcome.... Probably a little more planning and consentration it could be better...Maybe I'll try it with oil next week....
