Finally got a picture finished... This is the second painting for The Virtual Paintout Series..It is a fun project... Playing around with Yupo paper(think that's right) and Chinese brush painting... Am in need of cards for birthdays, thank you , wedding, thinking of you....These are fun, easy and rewarding...Will have some more in a few days....

Vacation Photos...Spring Break

We went on a "Spring Break" in our VW Things....Just a short trial run for the big one in June....The B & B in

Minlton - Freewater, Or. was very comfortable for the 12 THINGERS that enjoyed the trip . Tollgate Pass, both east and west was a winter wonderland... an awesome exprience......Walla-Walla and Pendleton .. Wind generators, underground tunnels...and Indian experiences...From ages 13 to 69, fun was had by all.

PATH TO THE TETONS....Oil

Started this at our last painting Thursday ... It should look like part of the Teton Range of Mtns... Am enjoying working with oil, but still find the details difficult. Started another one this week, but needs lots of work yet.... Also, there is an interesting blog you should check out

BEAVER DAM REFLECRIONS #2.....oil

Another trial with oil this week...The beaver dam in Lamoille Canyon is quite different with oil...Actually looks like a different picture all together.....I'm inclined to like the watercolor better....PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE....... Which do you like??

POPPY .... Oil

Painting with oil is really fun... When it turns out postable, anyway.... The process is quite different than watercolor... I am amazed at the "workability" of the paint... You can actually paint OVER what you don't like..... I am thankful Kathryn is in my life... Her direction and instruction are greatly appreciated..... She tried to get me to start oil for some time now, thanks for keeping after me..... I am excited about oil painting.... Thanks for checking the blog....
