JACKSON GRAND TETONS....Watercolor

A photo from Kathryns trip to the Grand Tetons, inspired this painting. She only took about 2800 pictures on this trip... As you can imagine, choices were many, but the shadows in this photo grabbed my interest....

Thanks for visiting.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!

AUTUMN STILL LIFE... Oil

Our Thursday painting day at Kathryns house was awesome.. Kathryn had set the still life in her studio.. Yvonne , an artist friend of Kathryns visited her Wednesday and painted with her. Yvonne did a fine job with her AUTUMN STILL LIFE.. You can view her painting at http://ryvonnecolclasurefineart.com/
After getting to her site, click on "blog" to view this painting.
Amy and I visited Kathryn on Thursday to attempt the same still life... So you should visit Kathryns blog and see her TWO autumn still life.

After viewing these two professionals , you will plainly see level of artists I try to work along side.... Both ladies are dedicated to their art.. They have experienced many work shops , classes and daily practice.

Thanks for visiting.
Love this season!!!

MORE CARDS....Watercolor...

Playing around with some more cards for birthdays.
Seems like I have fun using up scrap paper to try to make something worthwhile.
Everyone likes home made cards..

Thanks for visiting.

CARDS.... Flowers....Watercolor

Two cards;
birthday and thank you...
Sometimes it's fun to just "mess" around with the brushed and colors and create an original painting for special occasions.

Thanks for visiting.

YOSEMITE PARK..... Watercolor

This is a painting of a photo sent by Janette Galvin from their family trip to Yosemite Park in September ... she did a fine job of taking some awesome photos... Will probably use some others in attempted paintings...
This is El Capitan on the left, Merced River in the foreground, Cathedral Rock and Bridalveil Falls on the Right...
Maybe this could be better in oil..At least it's something new on the blog.

Thanks for visiting.. More paintings soon..

SEA TURTLE... Watercolor..

Can you believe it???? I finally got another picture worthy of posting..
My husband, Bill, asked me to paint this turtle, half unwillingly I tried my best.
He has more confidence in my painting than I.
I do believe his likes it and that is important.
