PEACEFUL SCENE...Watercolor

Well, any followers must have given up on me by now... So many weeks skipping painting and then not producing anything worth posting has made for a very long dry spell..

This picture is a simple Chinese brush work I enjoyed  painting. 

Maybe it will be the start of more progress.

FLAMINGOS FOR KATHY

These cuties were painted for my niece, Kathy.   She has a collection of flamingos.  

Am hoping she will enjoy this picture 

as much I enjoyed painting this "relaxed" style.

BELATED BUNNY...Watercolor

Been holding off posting because they changed the format.   Need some time to figure out the new process..  Can't be changing things with "computer challenged" folks...

Enjoyed painting this little guy.  

Even like the black background.  It has become a habit lately.

Trying to perfect the process.. 

I find the India Ink rather easy, but the many layers of black paint (for the same effect),  difficult.

Lighting is so important. Good lessons in this picture.

JACQUELIN'S ROSE.....Watercolor

There is a wonderful artist, Jacquelin Gnott, that I have watched for a long time..
This rose is one of hers .
I have tried to use her work as a study in shadows as well as color combinations.
Next will be an awesome yellow Iris.
