She was rescued from our local Shelter.

After four weeks, we are very happy with her personality 

and character....

GREAT DESERT POPPY...Watercolor

While driving up Lamoille Canyon in the Ruby Mountains, 

you will notice beautiful white poppies all along the road... Unless you stop and study these awesome wild flowers, you can't  appreciate their beauty.

RUBY MOUNTAINS STUDIES with color..watercolor

Here is my next study of the  

RUBY MOUNTAINS 

found just outside 

Elko, Nevada

In my last post I tried the view of the mtns. during the afternoon ..   Most evenings, when the sun is setting in the west,  the glow shines on mountains and forms a beautiful pink wash.  It is difficult to paint and get the exact colors.   I feel both of the paintings are "overworked".. Will continue to work and enjoy the peace of mind I experience  while studying these sunsets..
