BUTTERFLY #3..(Purplish Copper)...Watercolor

Another butterfly, but this one is a little different...It's called a
Purplish Copper..
Am trying to get a good one for Annabelle. My great, great, niece who just loves butterflies.

As far as this painting goes, my background is still an "issue" for me.
Isn't ISSUE a useful word??
Think I'll work on this a bit more before framing.

Thanks for checking.

HUNGRY BUTTERFLY #2... Watercolor.

This is the second in my trial for a good butterfly for my little niece,

They are so very remarkable.

WATERING CANS #2... Watercolor 4 X 6

These watering cans are painted on 140 hot press paper..I like the way the paint moves on this paper. However, sometimes it isn't the effect I'm looking for on some pictures...
These small painting are fun to use for cards or to frame a give as gifts...
Sometimes I think people would rather hang something small so as not to use too much space.

CELEBRATING MY 70th.....

SUMMIT AIR

Well, my experience after our wonderful Thing trip was a unexpected ride in the Helicoper.

June 25th I fell, dislocated and fracture my left hip..

After one and a half hour ride to Boise, Id , ten days in the hospital, Bill and I traveled back home. My recovery has been quite good... Will be friends with my walker until Sept. Healing takes time, but in reality, bone mending is quite remarkable...

Many thanks to all my friends and framily for their good wishes and caring..

Especially my wonderful nurse and caregiver, Bill...

Thanks for checking my blog.

Next picture will be a painting....

FLOWERS FOR CARDS... Watercolor

Just playing around with some flowers to be used for cards...
The poppy and lillies are from a photo of Kathryns yard last year...
Califorina poppies are such a beauiful color with the blue sky...
Notice the "PEN ACTION" on these paintings..
I like to do this when I feel the picture "needs" some attention...

Thanks for checking the blog...

Comments are always welcome....

OUR SPRING THING MYSTERY TRIP led us to WILSON RANCHES RETREAT just north of Fossil, Oregon...Through the rain, hail, snow, sleet, and a bit of sunshine, we traveled around the country side of north central Oregon...With 6 VW THINGS and 15 THINGERS, we had a memorable time... Highlights included the PAINTED HILL, searching for fossils, hiking, and riding horses and a whole lot of laughing...

PRETTY PANSY..Watercolor...9 X 12

This week we worked, once again, in watercolor....Kathryn had given me a book by Birgit O'Connor called WATERCOLOR IN MOTION....Not only is the book informative, but the DVD was very intersting.. Was impressed with the vast amount of water Birgit uses in her painting...It is always good for me to learn different methods of painting...
I enjoyed this painting...Am going on our Spring VW THING vacation so it will be awhile before anything new appears on the blog.....

Thank you for taking the time to view my work...

WINTER PHOTOS...March..

Sunset on the Ruby Mountains...What a treat for us who live in this picturesque valley...
Every day there is something to uplift our souls..
It would be difficult for me to leave this scene...
As the snow melts
from the shed roof, this view is very interesting...Bill took this photo and 30 minutes later it fell.. Happy he wasn't under it when it let go....

I love to see my yards after an awesome spring snow..
